Today's Monday Midday Motivation focuses on one word that holds all of us back and hinders us from not only reaching our goals but stunts our growth and development. Procrastination. Always putting something off or postponing it for later. I recently watched a sermon that encouraged us to be people of action and learning to live in the NOW, not waiting for later. How many times have you heard someone say that they will be happy when they get a new job, or when their finances get better? How can you expect to be blessed and happy with more if you're not appreciative or happy with what you have now. Procrastination stunts your growth. If you're still putting off things that you wanted to do 2 years ago, you're not growing and you're allowing procrastination to dictate your purpose. You're not reaching your full potential because you've gotten comfortable in procrastinating. Don't miss your season because you want to continue to put things off and not let go of things holding you back. Procrastination, fear, un-forgiveness, bitterness, and inconsistency are all negative attributes that contribute to growth hindrance. You have to let some things go in order to grow. As long as you continue to procrastinate, you will always be a few steps behind your full potential. Prepare for the future, but practice living in the NOW as you continue to walk into your purpose. Happy Monday and make it a fantastic non-procrastinating week!
